We are delighted to share the success of our first Smart Energy Community Workshop, organised by Asian Energy Studies Centre, Hong Kong Baptist University, in collaboration with our Smart Energy Project Households.
This workshop brought together participating households from Bristol for an engaging and interactive learning experience focused on energy use, sustainability, and community action.

💡 Empowering Households through Co-creation
The session began with an introduction to the concept of co-creation, highlighting how households can play an active role in shaping a more sustainable and energy-efficient community.
Participants explored key concepts including:

The idea of Energy Saving Coins
How Energy Cooperatives work in real life

🕶️ Immersive VR Experience
In the second part, participants stepped into a VR experience set in a Bristol community, where they:
Explored local neighbourhoods
Engaged with different community stakeholders
Discussed real-life energy challenges and solutions
This interactive approach encouraged critical thinking and helped participants understand how different perspectives shape energy decisions.
